Hi Cvetan,

I'm pretty sure I already saw it somewhere on this forum, but I cannot find it back, so I ask you the question.

Do you confirm that zezo takes into consideration the 2 minutes half speed when changing sails or when switching tack ?

Thanks.

Yes, otherwise the router would gybe every 10 minutes when sailing dead downwind (if the wind is steady)

But there is a caveat - the router does not know your current heading, so if you check the routing after a gybe it could recommend the opposite tack. It does not have a history of your previous routing decisions either, which sometimes leads to quite different solutions (with close outcome) with every reload.

Thank you very much.

Regarding the opposit tack when asking for a new route, yeah, I already figured that out sometimes.
Maybe you could add an optional setting by which we could force the router to start routing on a given tack (port or starboard) for instance :)

Thanks anyway for your time.

Oh, and by the way, as I'm on asking questions, is the "6% extra speed" setting still in place ?
I'm almost always routing with that checkbox unckecked these days... So I'm not quite sure if it's still applying or not.

Thx

Personally I don't believe there was such thing as intentional 6% speed difference. But sometimes it's useful to check how the routing would look like in slightly different conditions.
