Personal Message pages deleted

I previously had 6 pages of Personal Message boats/skippers but suddenly a couple of weeks ago this was reduced to 2 by some unknown person/method. Simply, 4 pages of my Personal Message boats have disappeared.
Has anyone else encountered something similar?

Ironically, I have always wanted to reduce the number of boats on this list but I wanted to be able to perform this task myself, rather than just some random deletion by an unknown person/method.

you're right, it seems "they" have truncated old messages, but we still cannot do it ourselves...

This is great news. I had over 30 pages of messages, and I couldn't access the messaging without incurring system performance lags. It would often crash my phone if I went in there. Now I'm down to 5 pages and it's much more manageable.

It's good to hear I'm not the only one. Just a shame they didn't delete all the random ones like "Guests".

I should clarify that I don't mind the messages. One of the fun things over the years has been the contact with thousands of people from around the world. I'm just happy to be able to delete the old messages now so that the messaging function will operate smoothly without crashing my phone. Now that they've added a delete option, I've gotten it under 1 page. :-)
