Dashboard not updating.

Hello all,

I hope you are all having fun in any of the races.

I was away for a long time and have been trying to use the power combination "zezo and dashboard".

For a reason - and a good one I'm sure - dashboard is not updating. All i can have is the initial position once I start race together with dashboard extension. After that no more updates.

Any clue why it is working like that?

I noticed that our beloved game now has like 2 server updates with effect in ui an update of 10 minutes no matter and an update in our game cursor position with ui advances each minute...- I will not start an issue about how idiot this is and if whether or not if we all expect the later version of the games to be better than the previous ones - but, does this have anything to do with dashboard updates?

There are no more automated periodic updates since the start of the Vendee (unless you pay for VIP, and then only for the race you have open)

You refresh the game by exiting and entering a race, or by pressing the refresh button once it appears after 10 minutes.

Does this mean that if I pay VR vip, it works like in the past?

So we now should play for the older versions of the game.

What is the point of the double position in ui...is there any? I don't get it.

I also noticed that if I change heading and if I go out of the game and enter again, the heading will be the old, no matter if I have confirmed the new one. If I cycle by 3D and normal ui view, sometimes it gets correct, sometimes not. I mean I am never sure if any alteration is really done or not.

Is this related to 10 minutes ui update?

The "old heading" is a nasty bug. Not really a bug because it's well known and they won't fix it. Anyway, your changes don't show until the 10-minute cycle is finished. But they are taken in account, just don't panic.

VIP gives you updates for the open race only. There were updates for all races in the previous version. I paid VIP subscription recently just to see how it works, but don't think it's worth it.

Other features you get are:

- 5-day track. Which is meaningless because it does not account for sail changes.

- "radar" which shows boats around you. Not too bad, but the number of boats/radius is limited, and I can't see the actual leaders in the Vendee two hours ahead of me, so it's of little use most of the time. Unless you're #1 ore really close.

The double positions is not bad. It shows both the server-side 10-minute calculation AND the client-side estimation, which is not exactly what you'll get in 10 minutes. But now you can compare your position to boats around you - the "calculated" one should be the same moment in time for eberyone.
