The factor on the fleet tab is the speed factor over a boat without hull and foils. It is used to guess whether the the boat has foil and/or hull. If VRDashboard cannot match the speed to any of these combinations (hull only, foils only, both) the number is drawn in red. There are three conditions the logic does not take into account and it can't match the factor:
- boat is aground (factor is 0)
- boat is under penalty (factor is 1/2 of a normal factor)
- boat is sailing in the sail change tolerance (factor is slightly higher than expected)
