Hi
on real boats, the routing software like Expedition displays 2-3 alternative routes, then you can select. Maybe one is a few minutes longer but less drastic, or less close to an island. This would be a welcome feature, so you can see what options you have, and what happens if you select a different route.

Also, keeping older routes there, like Weather4VR, helps mee to see if a newly proposed route is actually that much faster to see if its worth the direction change.
